Close to 25,000 Lost Electricity in Queensland and Victoria Following Intense Storms
Approximately 25,000 residences in south-east Queensland were left lacking electricity on Monday's dawn after powerful weather events passed over the area, bringing wind gusts topping over 100 km/h.
Substantial Ice Stones and Extensive Destruction
Homeowners observed substantial frozen pellets as large as 7 centimeters in some areas. The Bureau of Meteorology announced that multiple regions across the state had been hit with large hailstones.

Utility workers were focused on reestablishing power throughout the damaged zones, with dozens of response units working to handle the numerous electricity disruptions.
Victoria's Weather Woes
At the same time, nearly 1,000 energy customers in Victoria also faced power outages after the capital city saw its heaviest rainfall in a year and a half.
Rescue organizations received 598 calls for help across the region, mainly for structural issues but also for fallen timber and flooding.

- Wyndham region - nearly 180 help reports
At one point on Sunday, more than 28k power users in the state were lacking electricity.
Weather Forecast
Moist weather were forecast to persist along much of the state's eastern regions this coming days as a weather pattern continued to draw in moisture against the coast.
Tuesday was expected to become the heaviest precipitation period, with ongoing thunderstorm potential expected across different parts of both regions.
Safety Concern
Public health experts cautioned that there was an increased chance of weather-related respiratory issues across the countryside regions, specifically given the ongoing climate situation.
This caution comes after past events where similar conditions led to significant health impacts in the region.
